A Homemade Mother’s Day

DSC_0723
It’s Mother’s Day on Sunday (for those of us in the UK, at least), so what better reason than to whip up a quick block of raw chocolate for the wonderful mothers in your life?

Raw chocolate is so easy to make that it’s quite hard to believe – just whisk your ingredients together, pour onto a plate/into a mould, freeze, and enjoy. I dug out my basic recipe from in the archives (find the link below or click here), but you can add in extra flavours or textures to suit your (or your mum’s) preference. Get creative and tag me in any of your results on social media, I’d love to see them!

I love setting mine on a plate for a thin chocolate bark that can be sprinkled liberally with toppings. Try chopped nuts, dried fruit, desiccated coconut, coffee beans and more. Personalising the flavours for a loved one makes this a great gift idea, so have fun. Hopefully your mum will share the end result with you too!

Find my basic raw chocolate recipe here.
